THE WORLD OF COUNTRY LIFE IS AN ALL WEATHER ATTRACTION
PROVIDING A GREAT DAY OUT FOR BOTH ADULTS AND FAMILIES
An all weather attraction for the whole family. This is a wonderful place and it’s huge.
The Exhibition Hall is a museum which is a snapshot of rural life in days gone by. There are victorian streets with shops and houses to visit and displays of old farming machinery and bygone life. You will see man traps and a pig oiler, old dairy machinery and victorian farmyard tools. That’s just one building.
The Hall of Transport houses one of the largest collections of steam engines and vintage vehicles in the south west. There is also a huge collection of vintage motor bikes.
When you’ve finished inside there are all the animals outside. You can take a goat for a walk, hand feed red deer, hold a rabbit, guinea pig or even a pygmy hedgehog. You can feed the lambs and stroke the donkeys and ponies.
There is ferret racing, duck racing and lamb racing. There is a daily flying display from Hawkridge bird of prey centre.
There are lots of play areas for children of all ages including soft play areas as well as crazy golf, orbitors and electric cars. There is so much to do you couldn’t possibly see and enjoy everything in one visit.
There is plenty of choice for food too from a takeaway pasty to a full home cooked meal in the restaurant.
Finally browse the shop for souvenirs, toys and gifts.
